For the most complex of project implementations, as with a large number of simple projects, the model stage followed by that of the prototype is an essential key stage for the validation of:
- Selected technical options,
- the correct integration of all components,
- later product industrialization capacity,
- the technico-economic appropriateness for project constraints.

Being aware of this requirement, for several years ATOS has implemented a prototype department able to carry out one or several prototypes or models.

This independent department has its own means of production. Furthermore, it has the capacity to implement, if required, series production resources.

This major adaptability enables ATOS to efficiently meet the demands of flexibility and delivery required for the implementation of prototypes.

Plant prototype departments, working directly with sales teams, engineering and design, and production departments use their own production methods granting great flexibility of implementation and considerable responsiveness.
